Yes. Customers can present their Lotteria code at the POS. The code is captured, included in the Documento Commerciale.

Can I keep using my fiscal printer to print receipts?

Unfortunately no. The RT fiscal printer previously supported by Shopify can no longer be used with the new setup. The good news: you have two strong paths forward. Option 1: Sell and reinvest. Your existing RT printer still has resale value. You can sell it and put the proceeds toward a Shopify-supported receipt printer, which will keep your in-store checkout running smoothly. Option 2 (recommended): Skip the hardware and go digital. OpenFiskal offers simple digital receipt options that remove the need for a printer entirely. Beyond the immediate convenience and cost savings, this also puts you ahead of the curve: starting in 2027, digital receipts are set to become the standard in Italy.
