How fritz-kola launched a pop-up store on Shopify POS — KassenSichV-compliant in days
fritz-kola needed to open a new pop-up store on short notice — KassenSichV-compliant, on Shopify POS, with no parallel system. With OpenFiskal, the TSE-fiscalised register was live in days, including the mandatory cash register reporting via Meldefluss.
What fritz-kola needed to solve
fritz-kola planned a new pop-up store on a tight timeline. The requirement: sell through Shopify POS while staying fully compliant with the German KassenSichV — including the Technical Security Device (TSE), correct receipts and clean deposit (Pfand) handling.
On top of that came the new electronic cash register reporting obligation in force from 2025: every new register has to be reported to the tax office. Running a separate POS system next to Shopify was off the table — the entire stack had to stay lean and audit-ready.
Shopify POS + OpenFiskal
OpenFiskal was integrated into the existing POS setup as a native Shopify app. Within a few days the hardware was connected, the TSE was active and the receipt flow — including deposit line items — was running cleanly.
The legally required cash register reporting runs through our sister product Meldefluss via ELSTER import, with no manual forms. Hands-on onboarding and a clear hardware check meant the team could sell from day one of the go-live without surprises.
